  • Physical death was already a part of the equation prior to our first parents sin. Otherwise, what purpose did the tree of life served? And when did humanity develop and immune system? Working was also there prior to sin, as well as nakedness, etc. Work only became drudgery after the fall. Sin basically opened the "eyes of our senses," and caused negative reactions. For example, pain associated with illness and death, fatigue after working, and the feeling that comes with nakedness, etc.

  • Sin did not cause physical death. Only spiritual death. I do not see any scripture that shows that sin cause physical death. That's why i recently relinquished this view. If God said to Adam that he will surely die the day he eat of the tree, how can we conclude he was referring to both "physically and spiritually," but meant one was to happen the same day, while the other, in the future? God said death would take place the same day!
