The conspicuous and eye catching feature of Wat Phra Tat Chom Ping Lampang temple is the mysterious reflection of its Thai style stupa pagoda's shadow (known as chedi) upon the floor of its 'ubosot' or convention hall. It has been observed that the natural hues of the temple pagoda are beautifully reflected in the dark hallway of the very same temple; through the narrow opening of the convention hall's window. Another temple similar to this one happens to be the 18th century Wat Phra Kaew Don Tao Lampang built in authentic Burmese style.
Thus, this amazing phenomenon makes the Wat Phra Tat Chom Ping Lampang even more divinely mysterious and appealing to its visitors both local and foreign. This holy shrine is one of the oldest in Lampang region and is much revered by the local populace.
