Minor 2-5-1 Chords by Guy Fenocchi is a free jazz rhythm guitar lesson. This video will teach you how to play a minor 2-5-1 progression in the key of D minor. It's important to remember that the minor 2-5-1 doesn't come out of one key center, and can resolve to different type 1 chords.

  • Nice Heritage.

  • whatever works with each chord (ie dorian b2, A diminished wholetone, and d harmonic minor) is what i would do. you dont have to adhere to a set of modes all the time just think to match a scale with a chord. but make sure your solo flows!!!

  • which scale do you you use to improvise on that progression?

  • Really good lesson, well delivered.

    Many thanks
