any one can become the goaly but they can only use one hand to block and you are allowed a goalie in the 5m shot

here is what we do. if the other team is shooting a 5 meter. freez the shooter. our goalie is out of the cage. and me and 2 other team mates go and wait inbetween 2 and 5. so the ref has to pull us back behind the 5 1 at a time. we use it to "rest" but we making the shooter pissed and freezing him like a kicker in football. then after we all moved behind 5, the ref must set out goalie on the goal line. cause he is out of cage. we did ti last night. the guy shot but the ball flew out of his hand

also the goalie (if it is a good one) doesnt pick a corner he dives where the shots going to land..
like our goalie whos only 15 years old but seems to be the best goalie in holland of his age

A) the defenders dont swim straight down after he shoots, they swim towards the middle to cut the shooter off
B) the other reasons to earn a 5 meter are: too many players in the pool, a player refusing to exit the field of play after he is ejected, or a player with 3 ejections coming back into the field of play
im not trying to be an ass, but if someone is trying to learn more about the game, i think they should have the right info.

We recently had a game where the opposing team got our goalie ejected. Shortly after, the team was awarded a 5m shot due to a foul. There was no goalie in the goal, and no one was allowed to defend him. He missed the shot :p
