The Concordia University Part-time Faculty Association is an accredited union representing some 1,200 part-time faculty members. Since 1989 its mandate is to improve the working conditions of its members who teach some 40% of all courses at Concordia University. CUPFA is comprised of the most diverse professional and qualified members. We speak to the diversity of members in their respective fields of expertise in the real world: teachers, journalists, filmmakers, musicians, engineers, chartered accountants, lawyers, communication specialists, psychologists, mathematicians, design artists, scientists, poets, sociologists, etc. CUPFA gives meaning to ConU's much vaunted motto: "Real Education for the Real World."
