  • @Leecogic These folks using the Vatican versions have no facts and a guilty conscience. That is why they desperately seek to change the subject and always make it about your tone or whether you called them names when you say things like, "using new versions is just crazy." YOU call me CRAZ???

So, good luck dealing with the psychology today crowd.

  • Very interesting. I've watched you for years and am glad that you shared this with us.

  • I read the St. Joseph New American bible since I was brought up as a catholic. But at times I'll read other books like the KJV for example in order to see the difference in wordings. I find it better to interpret this way.

  • Whoa! Wait a minute. Maybe I wasn't clear in my articulation. If so sorry for the confusion. What I said was if people want to use newer translations they have that choice. They WOULDN'T LOSE SALVATION over that. I also said, or meant to say this but it came out wrong, that at one time I would only read new translations and not the KJV. My bad if I gave you the impression of showing a lack of compassion toward brothers/sisters in Christ. Lord knows that's part of what's wrong with churches.

  • Lose your salvation??? Isn't that a bit harsh? God has mercy on us thru the Blood of Jesus Christ, and pours out His Grace on us. Thank God you aren't in charge of judging my heart. To deliberately change the Word of God for wrong motives, is sinful, granted. But as a child of God, searching the Word and using other translations as a study guide, would NOT be, in my opinion, a reason to lose your salvation. Come on, Grace is more graceful than that. Show some mercy and love.

  • Regardless of which Bible you endorse or read, your program is a blessing, thank you,and I am sorry for the recent terrible comments that have been posted!

    God Bless.

  • Going back to the original languages is the only way to settle the debate about what translation is best. After years of reading multiple new versions, my preference is 1611 KJV bc it's the only one that spells out all core doctrines of the faith and NEVER takes away from the deity of the triune God.

    KJV works for me!

  • I agree. I don't personally believe a Christian will lose their salvation if they like the newer translations (I know I wouldnt read any other at one time) but i wont hesitate to tell others why i now believe only KJV works for me!

  • So why do your new Bibles include Revelation and the last part of Hebrews? They're not in your precious manuscripts. And what about the Apocrypha? It's IN your manuscripts. And why don't you tell them what the "oldest and best" manuscripts are? They are the most CORRUPT and MUTILATED manuscripts!

  • Preach it Mack! Authorized Version is the ONLY Word of God. Why would I EVER give up my KJV while believing it is perfect in EVERY way, when the people who wrote the new versions do not believe they have a perfect translation!
