And now for something eerily familiar...
'Everyone is Here' is a sequel of sorts, to my 2007 short film 'Absolutely Everybody'. This video was filmed and released exactly two years after (Lunar calendar-wise) of its predecessor and showcases the celebration of the Islamic Kurban Bayram festival (Eid ul-Adha) by the Australian Karakoçaş community. Says who? There is no canonical doctrine in Islam which requires any person to cover their face. Their "private parts" sure, but as far as I'm concerned, I hadn't spotted any "private parts" in this video. And the only people in direct contact with one another are mahram.
And what's wrong with a few photos? We've come a long way from the days of idolatry, my friend.
If you wish to debate the legitimacy of one's "Muslimness", I suggest you find some other place to rant.
