Why I love FiM a lot and consider myself a Brony, I don't hate G1. I fact I kinda love this opening for how cute it is. Besides, Faust gave Rainbow Dash Firefly's personality, she loved this show and updated it for today. Isn't that what a lot of fans of FiM do in their fanfiction and music and art? They take what they love about this show and do more with it. So I accept the series roots, and even hope some things from it get transferred into FiM one day.

The cuteness is so...suffocating. o_O Dang, this show is OLD. 30 years?? Whoo wee...xD FiM is good. I like all MLPs I'm not picky or choosy on which is the best one. I mean seriously back then dawned He-Man, She-Ra, Jem and the Holograms, lol gotta give the 80s props. I'm a 90s kid myself. ^__^

I had this movie. I loved it as a kid. MLP gen 1 was good. It had story and likeable characters. If bronies have to complain, why not about gen 2, 3 and 3.5. They were horrific. They were about relationships and every episode felt the same, with one dimensional characters and bad animation.

Gen 1 had villains and dragons and (some ...slight) character development. It was the foundation of gen 4 FiM. Without gen 1, Faust never would have been able to revamp and there would be no brony community!
