A vigorous protest against Verizon Wireless was launched on 9/27/10 with an angry mob chanting against a person whose name sounds like "Mike Alexander," calling him a racist. The mob gathered outside the Verizon building in Greenville, SC was kept in check by police from the City of Mauldin, South Carolina, the department that has jurisdiction over the Verizon Wireless property. The protest was held at 700 Brookfield parkway, Greenville - (864) 987-2000

  • so don't hand me this sudden change of behaviors crap and think we will eat and digest this mess by stopping the quality process, changing AHT, building relaxation rooms and the sudden pseudo caring behaviors by the AD's. I saw the prostest and a racist would not have had the diversity that was out front protecting our freedoms like the US Millitary I too will be joining them in exposing these behaviors. So Greg and all those protesting you have more support than you know. We love you all!

  • @Cruisexpert96 Stay out of this fight young boy this has nothing to do with your weird ignorant self and get a life idiot!.

  • move the fuck out my way im tryna buy a droid....

  • @Kwilliams864 The protestors were there to make sure that the current employees don’t have to endure what they did and they want more than that little sip of water….they want justice and equality. Oh yeah and the whipping boys were also afraid of their own therefore tried to discredit them as a way of securing their position. Sounds like what you are doing in order t keep your position …now that’s really something to laugh at…think about it

  • @Kwilliams864 Your comments remind me of the whipping boys of slave days…they were so scared not to do what massa said that they tried to convince themselves that it was a good thing that massa gave the slaves water at the end of the day even though they had to endure the whole days worth of being mistreated in order to get that sip at the end of the day.

  • @Kwilliams864 If things were all great and wonderful why did they suddenly start to create "relaxation" areas and changing the manner in which the coaching sessions are being handled in order to “reduce stress” …funny that is the first time stress levels have been addressed and this is all after the public was made aware of the situation .

  • @Kwilliams864 Not everyone on the inside was laughing during the protest but the y were in fact wondering then and now why after all this time (if management is so concerned with their employees wellbeing) has the protest not been addressed in an email, a meeting, or anyway to assure the employees that the comments and concerns addressed by the protesters were not valid.

  • @mstiredofbs1 These protests have really caused a stir at the Grvll call ctr. People are starting to become more aware of the aversive racism that exists at VZW. Of course, Mike Alexander isn't gonna call anyone a ni*** to their face. But for years there have been rumors circulating that some of the white employees are paid higher, including supervisors. Also, everyone knows about the white supv. accused of sexual harassment that was simply moved to another dept.

  • @Kwilliams864 I am a white male that worked for Greg and I disagree that he is a racist. He was actually one of the few supervisors who showed me how to improve my stats. I think people should question those who are protesting, because not all of them are disgruntled former employees. Just a thought.

  • @Kwilliams864 Speak for yourself. Everyone on my team (black and white) as well as myself, was silently cheering on the protestors. I'm happy someone was willing to stand up to Mike and his cronies. It's obvious to me that mgmt. is trying to make small changes on the inside because of the protesting. All of the changes are just ways to pacify us to make to make it appear that they really care. Kwilliams864 you must be a member of mgmt. or a real butt-kisser to make such a ridiculous comment.
