This old Cat scraper in North Oshawa couldnt take down this mud hill on its own so they gave him some needed support with a D8L and three single engine 637 scrapers, good luck !

  • Great Video But Why Would you down grade a scraper from two engines to one?

  • Expence or reduced maintenance ? I just took the video.

  • The 637 has always been tandem powered

  • Actually it is a 637C converted into a 631C, but you are right. It looks as if they converted the 637 into a 631 by yanking out the rear engine and plugging the hole. YOu can still see the rear plantaries where the rear engine once was. We have done that to a couple machines making them into waterpulls.

  • Go Scraper!

  • it's a 631C the first machine anyway.

  • FANTASTIC, VERY GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!
