First off, the terms we use are important. The distinction ISN'T "full preterist" & "partial preterist" -- It is merely preterist & hyperpreterist. Hyper simply means to go beyond original intent & scope. Hyperpreterists believe the "big 3 events" were fulfilled in AD70. Some hyperprets, such as Ed Stevens advocates a rapture removing all supposed true Christians in AD70. Do they realize the implications to soteriology if only second rank Christians remained?

Partial preterism doe snot promote "replacement" but rather is similar to COVENANT THEOLOGY. We believe God has one progressive plan and Israel was intended to come into this plan, and gentiles were made the spiritual Israel of God when they came into it. There is no replacing but rather fulfilling prophecy. Prophecies that spoke to Israel are fulfilled in the church, but not by the replacement of the church for Israel... Isaiah 49:6 compared with Acts 13:47.

Partial preterists do indeed believe in a rapture vertically. I am one of them. :) We literally in body will be caught up in the literal air. This brings us to the white throne judgment. I have info all about it in my series Partial Preterism vs. Full Preterism. Check out my channel by clicking my name above.

I wish more people knew about Preterism... because the whole Christian Zionist movement is really dangerous if you ask me

I have much info on my channel about preterism. And you are right. Christian Zionism is greatly in error.

These fellows need to read Haanegraaf's book. He makes a much stronger case for preterism than they do for their view.

I do not read any scripture that Paul or any of the 1st century writers were writing personally or directly to anyone in 2008

Well said. P.S. Concerning prophecy,I am still searching for an interpretation that I can fully endorse. I think that Preterists have a good "chunk" of it right. But it too does not make much of The Apocalypse explicable. Dave Hunt is capable of brilliant insight. This video is not one of his better moments. I wish we could "lay down the arms" and pray for more insight instead. If we want to get snooty, I can make all sides look stupid. My hobby horse is taller than ANYBODY'S. LOL!

The confusion seems to be that futurists confuse judgment passages such as that of 70 A.D. with the final judgment. The temple destruction was not the first time God judged the Jews. Let's think about this, would that generation that killed their Messiah escape punishment from God? Could anything deserve more punishment than putting Christ to death? The apostles even asked when Christ would come back. Jesus told them that their generation would see His return.
