  • Clever girl...

  • I'm a little surprised all three are still in the nest. They should be heading off to live on their own soon, shouldn't they?

I haven't heard the dog, but I did hear a horse whinny on the live cam once.

  • Yes, the cute babies are no more. I have posted before how the camera condenses the nest and the parents, the nest is six feet wide. Listen to the dog barking, haven't heard that before!

  • check out the babies....they are big now

    look for decoraheagles

  • is there any videos of last year where the babies was learning to fly?

  • according to Raptor Resource Project, the Decorah nest (this nest) does weigh over 1000 lbs. Apparently it's about 6 feet in diameter.

  • @brokensongbrokensoul Actually most nests weigh Hundreds of pounds -- some record nests have weighed over 1000 pounds! :-)

  • @tooslimnc Well, you don't want your babies to be in a nest that isn't perfect. If you build it wrong, it could collapse. Eagles' nests tend to weigh around 40 to 50 pounds

  • he swallowed that stick?!
