Helmke shouldn't have asked Lou his opinion. Helmke and his ilk are of the same sort that would ban hamburgers as too healthy if they could. Carrying a gun, open or concealed, should not be illegal; using it illegally should be illegal. Very simple.

Paul Helmke is such an ass... The Brady Campaign is on a crusade to "take away all guns", even though CRIMINALS DO NOT FOLLOW THE LAW AND WILL ALWAYS POSSESS AND USE GUNS TO COMMIT CRIMES!!!! Making something illegal does NOT make it go away! This has been proven time and time again! For example, the prohibition era.... remember that? How about the "war" on drugs? Drugs are illegal, but the criminals haven't skipped a beat, have they? What makes people think guns will be different??

Indeed, he should have been asked to point to the part on the Brady website that is "pro-gun", or asked to cite a single pro-gun quote anyone from the Brady Bunch has ever made. That would totally stump him.
