@Meggion Well said. What the right should have and should be doing is trying to engage with Obama and the Democrats, trying to debate policy directly, trying to air their concerns and creating counter proposals that they believe better serve the country. Stonewalling the process has done nothing but hold up valuable legislation and forced the laws to be more liberal than they needed to be because the Republicans refused to act as a balancing factor. If there's been failure, its been a joint one

Rush Limbaugh was talking about he hopes Obama's policies fail. He addressed that after this came out.
And his overall failure of his policies is better for the country. Far better than if his policy get passed.
However, being an Iraqi War veteran there is one thing I hope Obama succeeds in which is the same thing I had hoped Bush succeed in. Victory (not surrender) in Iraq and Afghanistan. And thankfully he's pushing for a surge in Afghanistan.

"Ok, who has the higher SAT score?
Rush Limbaugh: 1530
Only underscores what a lazy slob he really is. Academic potential, yet a miserable failure once he actually hit the classrooms at a fourth tier state university.

Ok, who has the higher SAT score?
Rush Limbaugh: 1530
George Bush: 1206
JOHN KERRY: 1190
LOL!!!!
I hope Obama fails. Its better for the country if his policies fail. Like many Democrats are found of pointing out during the Bush administration: "Dissent is patriotic".

That's completely counter intuitive.
Hoping that a nation's leader fails is not going to be good for that nation. Especially when said leader was elected in a fair election.
There's a difference between disagreeing with policies, dissenting, and hoping for overall failure. The later makes not sense at all.

No its not. Hoping that our president will fail getting his policies passed makes a lot of sense. If those policies will hurt the country, its better for the country if he fails rather than succeed.
Thats why all these citizens are going to these town hall meetings. They don't want Obama mess up this nation.
"Especiallly when said leader was elected in a fair election."
That has nothing to do with it. Keep in mind that many people who are against his policies also voted for him.

The policies Obama has attempted to act on so far are overwhelmingly consistent with his campaign platform. This is especially true regarding health care reform. People that don't like these policies shouldn't have voted for him. It has everything to do with it.
Re: Obama's policies we obviously disagree on a fundamental level and there's no point in arguing that. Except to say that failure is never beneficial. It doesn't matter who the President is or what their policies are.

I agree they shouldn't have voted for him if they didn't agree with his policies. I didn't vote for him, and I've been against his policies the entire time. I want his policies to fail. I guarantee that alot of the people who voted for him didn't really know his policies. They just picked him because he was popular. Is that their fault for not knowing about his policies? Absolutely. Regardless, it is still beneficial if his policies fail, because they will hurt the country if they get passed.

That's fair enough.
But it's one thing to hope Obama fails. Another to hope that his policies fail.
If you don't like what he's doing you're more than welcome to work against it/for what you think is the right direction to work in. Like it or not though, he *is* the President and his overall failure isn't going to help any of us -- and yes, though I disagreed with just about everything the man ever did, I felt the same way about Bush.
