@BoxerTwoZero target "fixation" what you look at you tend to steer towards... you have to be aware of it as a problem ans it's really easy to do. people might think looking at what they dont want to hit is safer than not looking at it, which is wrong. you assess the objects with glances, you should not fixate on any particular object for very long this happens in other situations as well not just with stopped emergency vehicles.

dumbasses need to listen. he got cut off VERY close by the gold car. the gold car was literally less than an inch away from clipping the van anyways. van driver had no choice.

It's actually proven that when some drivers look at the lights, they get sort of dazed, and and follow the lights, and stop paying attention to the rest of the road, that's why there are so many accidents involving stopped Police cars.

what are you talking about? the minivan driver had the right of way either way. The guy in the middle lane just didnt seehim and moved over..his fault totally. Granted, the van driver over reacted and crashed like a noob.

It is amazing how people shut off their brains when driving. It is also incredible how stupid they get whenever they see a police car on the shoulder. As a commercial driver, I see it every single day. Any time you see a police stop expect really stupid driving on the part of the other drivers.
