More than two hundred Al Qaeda are massed in the Shah-i-Kot valley in eastern Afghanistan. Their snipers and mortar teams can fire at your team with deadly accuracy. Helicoptered into the thick of combat, you must gradually pick off the enemy, clear the village where they are based, and secure their weapons cache, so they can no longer pose a threat to US forces. @winn21 Medal of Honor is a lot like Black Hawk Down, it tries to paint a positive picture of what was considered a military disaster.

The only artillery pieces Americans had were mortars ( Rumsfeld's idea ) Stanley Harriman, Neal Roberts, John Chapman, Bradley Crose, Phil Svitak, Jason Cunningham and a few more were killed in Operation Anaconda.tmlafrance is right Not a Good Day To Die is a book that goes into the details about this operation. Also, Roberts Ridge by the late Malcom MacPherson focuses on the Battle of Takur Ghar which happend during Anaconda.

No one from 10th Mtn or the 101st was killed. 7 spec ops troops were killed on Takur Ghar and one SF soldier was killed on the first day.
