Mitch giggled as he was looking to Nick wearing a gray v - neck shirt and a black skinny pants.
"See you tomorrow Alex, I'll call you later tonight." We then gave a good bye hug at each other then she walks away. She smiled at Nick but he wasn't paying attention to her.
"Hey what's with the shade Nick?" I asked him and he frowned. His face leans closer to mine and looked straight to my eyes. He then removed his shades and I saw his eyes burning in red. I was amazed, it was the first time I saw his scarlet eyes on a closer look. My heart beats faster, I touched his cheeks and run my hands to his forehead and fixing his hair. " Your eyes... I.. they look beautiful." I gasp.
He leans away and wear back his shades. "You're mistaken Alex, this eye belongs to a monster a serial killer, beautiful isn't the right term. " He mumbled. " This eyes are dangerous, scary." He said in addition. I gave him a warm hug "I'm not afraid." then I hold his arm leaning my head to his shoulder as we walk home. "
I was expecting you will pick me up with a car and not run me home." I said.
"You should get used to it, I am faster than any vehicle." He grinned
"Yeah that's why I get dizzy when we got home." I smiled with my teeth. I had noticed his holding my hands tighter and tighter and its hurts.
"Ouch! Hold on a minute will you." I scowled as I massage my hand.
"Oh I'm sorry Alex, are you alright?" He asked me. I raised my eyebrow, "Do you think I'm alright?" I felt my wound is aching again as I raised my pants it was bleeding. Nick walks few steps away from me.
Would you stop exposing that, didn't you know your with a Vampire? What reckless thing did you do today?" He said Mad. I half smiled and made a huge sigh. "You should have covered it with a sterile gauze." He said while he holds his breath and covered his nose with a handkerchief.
We are already at the woods heading to our home. Nick signaled me to hop in his back then he runs swiftly, hoping in every tree like were almost flying. "Close your eyes Alex, if you don't want to get dizzy when we arrived." He said.
"Why Am I at the back?" I complained. "You always carry me in your arms. I said.
"Your wounded, I don't want to be distracted or else I might..." He pauses but I got his point. In an instant he increases his speed and I'm almost dizzy like I am riding on a jet plane.
We then suddenly stop, as I open my eyes we are already home. I jump on the ground but my legs are weak I almost fell on my knees good thing Nick was too fast to hold me.
"Are you OK?" He asked me worried.
"Yeah I'm good." I said reassuring him. " Let's get inside."
"You go ahead." He mumbled. "I need to go..." he pauses then he look at me. " I need to go hunting."
"Oh", I felt suddenly sad. " I'm sorry for..." he suddenly interrupts me as he touch my lip's with his cold finger and run it to my cheeks.
"Don't be." He mumbled
I smiled, "Can I hug you?" I asked
He sighed, "OK.. but after.. not now Alex, your blood makes me..." He pauses and made a face. Then he runs away swiftly.
I sighed then I entered the house. I walk through my room and placed my things on the bag checking if I hadn't done or missed some homework.
I then went to the bathroom and wash my face and quickly change my clothes with a yellow petalled shirt and white shorts.
I went downstairs to meet Dad, he's already cooking for my dinner. He then noticed me as he smelled the air I guess he pick up my blood scent, I can tell on his reaction.
"Alex did you had an accident, I can smell a lot of blood in you." He said, uncomfortable in the sense that he has still cravings and sometimes losses his control to resist human blood.
"Yeah I had this in my Physical education but I already took care of it." I said.
His hands was shaking and he already covered his nose.
"Dad? Wha... What's happening? Are you alright?" I said.
"Don't come any closer Alex." He said, I gave him a worried look. Try not to worry" He smiled despite of his struggle to resist. "I'm OK... I think I need time to handle this. Don't worry I'm fine."
I was a bit worried, "OK, What can I do?"
"You can't do anything to me but can you finish what I'm cooking." I said while he slowly moves away from me.
I nodded.,
The way he moves, he was really careful not to lose his control, I wonder what its like to be a vampire. He was almost far from me, his hands was still shaking.
He was gone now and all that was left in the house was me, all alone.
