  • It's interesting to note that Syd Barrett was sought out as producer for The Damned and also The Sex Pistols. Syd Barrett "wasn't available," so instead The Damned went w/ another Floydian, Nick Mason. Nick had a nice jazzy touch on the drums, but was no composer of music. It should go w/o saying that The Damned were not pleased w/ the resulting album (their first I believe).

  • I found this and the other several attempts at it on the "Damned don't cry" bootleg back in the mid eighties, they also cover PIL's Fodderstompf. Interesting!

  • The quality here's vastly superior to the overpriced rubbish i had years back. They should have polished this up and released it. Anyone remember Rabid Over You with an alternative middle 8?

  • q verga

  • Had this on tape years ago.

    Brilliant.

  • I never thought I'd be head banging to Pink Floyd!

  • Excellent, not heard this before, of course Nick Mason produced Music For Pleasure (badly) so there is a Floyd connection, the Captain is a big Sid Barrett fan. Great to see Rat on good form, underated drummer but not by Damned fans.

  • where can i buy this cd
