I Can't Believe I Kidnapped Her A Jemi Story Chapter 46

i honestly don't know if a lot of people saw/read the last one or not cause something funky was going on with YT's sub box so idk...but you guys stop guessing accurately about what's gonna happen next. gosh...

Demi/Joe: *get out of the car and walk to the entrance*
Guy at the desk: (he's a little tubby, has a beard, older looking)
Joe: *approaches him* Hi...Um, we'd like a room.
Guy at desk: Uh huh, uh huh. *eyes them suspiciously* I'm sure you would. How old are you kids?
Joe: *frowns* We're not here for that, if that's what you think.
Guy at desk: *raises an eyebrow* Mm hmm. So how old are ya?
Joe: *sighs* Nineteen. Sixteen. She's my younger sister.
Guy at desk: Oh. All right. What'd ya two do? Run away from home?
Joe: We don't like to talk about it. Now can we just have a room?
Guy at desk: You got ID?
Joe: Um..*hesitates* Yeah...*reaches in his pocket and finds his ID*
Demi: *whispers* Joe. What if he recognizes you?
Joe: *whispers back* Well he hasn't yet, has he..? He doesn't seem to be, uh, the brightest. *hands his ID to the guy*
Guy at desk: *takes it from him and looks it over* All right. *hands it back*
Joe: *takes it back and gives Demi a look*
Demi: *rolls her eyes*
Guy at desk: A room's 35 dollars a night. (IDK what a motel usually costs so I hope that sounds about right)
Joe: All right, sounds reasonable. *gets out his wallet*
Guy at desk: You paying in cash?
Joe: Well I only have cash, so. Yeah.
Guy at desk: Mm...so you want one or two beds?
Joe: S'there a difference?
Guy at desk: One bed's cheaper. I'd assume since you're paying with cash...
Joe: Um...I guess we can go with one bed. I mean, I can just sleep on the floor.
Guy at desk: Then why not just get two beds?
Joe: But this is cheaper.
Guy at desk: So, maybe I'd like a better profit.
Joe: Then why'd you tell me about the difference?
Guy at desk: I assumed since she's your sister you would like seperate beds.
Joe: Well why do you keep assuming stuff?
Guy at desk: Do you want a one or two room or not?
Demi: Oh for the love of Pete, just go with one! I mean we don't know how long we'll stay here, and we don't know how much money you'll have left. So just go for the cheaper one.
Joe: Good point. One-bed room.
Guy at desk: All right, all right.
Joe: Can I have like an extra pillow & blanket or something?
Guy at desk: An extra pillow & blanket, "or something" would cost more.
Joe: *frowns* You've gotta be kidding me.
Demi: Just let it go, pay the nice man, and we'll be on our way.
Joe: *hands him the money unhappily and walks away with Demi*

Soon, in their room....
Demi: *sitting on the bed*
Joe: *standing looking out a window, inspecting stuff I guess*
Demi: So...out of curiosity, how much money do you have, Joe?
Joe: Well...to be honest, when I had David's van the night I took you, I found some cash stored in there.
Demi:Oh really?
Joe: Yeah, and I already had a good amount of cash to start with.
Demi: Yeah that doesn't answer my question.
Joe: I've got about a hundred dollars left.
Demi: Whoa. Are you serious?
Joe: Totally. See food didn't cost much. And neither did the clothes I bought you.
Demi: You bought me CHEAP clothes?
Joe: Oh come on. They look fine, and I thought anything would be better than your pajamas so does price REALLY matter?
Demi: Touche...
Joe: I'm still suprised that guy didn't recognize me. Especially after he looked at my ID.
Demi: Maybe he doesn't watch the news. Like you said, he's not really the brightest...
Joe: He's an egghead.
Demi: Speaking of eggs, "brother", I'm hungry.
Joe: Well, "sister", would you like me to get something to eat?
Demi: Did you really have to ask?
Joe: Oh, ha ha. So...How about I just go find a drive thru and come back? You fine staying here alone?
Demi: Yeah. I'll just...*finds a remote and picks it up* Watch some TV...
Joe: There probably isn't cable.
Demi: And I probably don't care.
Joe: Okay, so you just relax and I'll be right back.
Demi: Okie dokie.
Joe: *walks over and kisses her on the cheek (incest?!)*
Demi: *as Joe walks away* Pff, brother.
Joe: *as he's walking out the door* Now that I think about it, we do kinda look alike.
Demi: And bicker a lot.
Joe: *turns & smirks at her, then closes the door*
