Cross the land - map dérive

A Google Map Dérive 'in' the area between Brussels and Hasselt in Belgium.

The film was shown without sound in a bus, while driving through the same region. The blue line in the beginning marks the way of the drive. The audience of the artistic bustour ('Cross the land - a procession by bus') arrived after 3 hours at the opening of the 'greyzone' exhibition in Z33 (Hasselt, Belgium).

The 'map walks' are searching in an almost situationist manner the map for other interests and criteria than directions.

I use this methode of map-dérives on several occasions and for several projects.
