international velvet: Warhol Superstar '66-'68

@ age 17, after appearing on top mag covers like Madamoiselle, International Velvet (Susan Bottomly) arrived in New York @ Andy Warhol's request, having met him @ a blueblood Boston party (her dad was State's Attorney who prosecuted Boston Strangler), immediately taking up residence @ Manhattan's infamous Chelsea Hotel. Partying and appearing @ openings alongside such Warholites as Edie Sedgwick & Nico, she appeared in 2 underground Warhol flicks: "Chelsea Girls" and "****" (24-Hour Movie)." after the Warhol shooting Susan left NYC and remained in Europe, where she continued her career. She currently lives a chilled-out life, residing somewhere in Hawaii.

International Velvet was very beautiful. But I don't have anything like the fascination and obsession for her as I have for Edie.
