We've done both. The fixed position is good when you can position the MLB with the bow at the action. However, when you are knocking down breakers crossing the bar, the helmet mount works better. Plus break-ins gett to see how much action is involved by the Surfman. Check out my other videos for the fixed mount - both on the upper and lower hand hold. Have fun in QR, and be safe!

Mount the camera on the hand hold above your head. Stability makes better filming!!!
