  • Qué belleza.

  • @mtvswitch Victor Jara no compuso esta canción. Guárdate los insultos, esmegma.

  • Really good!! i like it!! hey where are you from??? best wishes from Ecuador!!!

  • how ignorant can be one person "

mtvswitch". The first singer of this BEATIFUL piece of music is Atahualpa Yupanqui, and this great composser take this song from a popular and folkloric song to the workers in the coffe fields betwen Venezuela and Colombia. So Victor Jara only take the song to include it in his own list. Don´t be ridiculous to think that Victor Jara composse that song. The IDIOT who needs LEARN SOMETHING IS YOU!!!

  • Yes, Arjunpanda, in the context of the song, you're right. But I'never meant to sugest that "blackie" was racist or something. Actually, I call "negra" (black girl) to my wife (who really is so white). In Argentina (where I live) we use that name lovingly. The fact that i've refered was that Mercedes Sosa, choose an aboriginal word: "mobila" instead of "negrito". Just that.

  • but negrito is used lovingly, in context, when speaking to little children or other loved ones

  • This song was popularized by Atahualpa Yupanqui. It's a popular Cuban song, and Atahualpa did a version mixing diferent lyrics diferences. Original version was registered by Atahualpa in Paris 1968 in the long play "Campesino". A lot of diferent artists used to sing it, especially in the '70s. Best interpretation is the one that recorded Mercedes Sosa, where she changes "negrito" (blackie) to "mobila" (that means, aparently, "dear")

  • Hey dude this is awesome! I have heard a lot of versions of this song and believe ne this one it's one of the best versions on youtube!
