Questo è il pezzo che mi ha fatto musicalmente innamorare di Kurt Elling.. splendida composizione, splendida voce, splendido arrangiamento.. ecco come la sensibilità di grandi musicisti riesce a migliorare qualcosa di già bello. Credo che Kurt sia la stella, forse l'unica, più brillante del panorama jazzistico vocale oggi esistente. Grazie di esistere Kurt...

I love both versions of this song by Metheny and Elling...Metheny's version is on his "Still Life (Talking) and this is on his "The Man Up There" CD. This composition is just timeless and his voice is the truth...just the truth...

I'm familiar with this Pat Metheny song and have heard this twice over the last couple of weeks with the lyrics (didn't know there were lyrics!) on my local college radio station and was hoping someone had uploaded it here on YT. I never heard of Kurt but love his voice and love how he sings this great tune. I've added this one to my favorites playlist. :-)

I have always loved Pat Metheny's work, every bit as much as I love Kurt Elling's voice, Elling's way with a ballad, his lyrics, and his playful inventiveness. For me, his cover of this Metheny piece is a perfect convergence of all the qualities that make these two jazz artists so wonderful. Bravi, gentlemen!!! Now if only I could find a live-performance video clip of Elling singing this song ...
