Of course it was not a hit for them. Back in those good old racist days black folks would record a song, then the recording companies would get white singers to re-record the songs and the songs became hits. It sucks. but that was the way it was for black singers back then. This is the best version, in fact, the entire album is off the chain.

@YCSMusic i saw the broadway show this year in NYC about the shirelles and it was brilliant, wonderful story and songs
