I think 1 and 2 were boring. But that was what, 400 dollars? And did you use aluminum parts?

Why 4 sets of treads rather than 2?

Three reasons: #1 The Hull has to support 75lbs of weight. The added structure increases the strength. #2 The additional Tracks give it more traction. #3 It looks cool.

The Frame of the Hull is Steel C-Channel skinned with Aluminum. The Turret is all Aluminum.

Two questions: How did you get the wires to not tangle when the turret twists. And is there any way I can get a better servo. It doesnt seem to have enough power. I broke one yesterday... woops.

The Turret is completely seperate from the Hull so there are no wire to get tangled. This gives the Turret full rotation. There is one transmitter and two microcontrollers. The motors are running on different channels.

I didn't use any servos in the Tank. In the Turret there are 2 motors spinning the Turret and 4 motors elevating the barrel. If you are damaging your Servos I would suggest re-gearing your robot and make sure you are using clutches.
