I must say that after i took delivery on my S5, i managed close to 280 (speedo reading) but checked the true speed on my Garmin and it showed 269!! so much for 250 limited

@gmann00089 v stands for velocity or as commonly known speed.

@italien0123 ok, but the speedo dosn't show the real Speed.
i drive an MKV R32 an my Speedo shows even 280; my mobile with gps shows the poor truth: 255.
In Germany ist's called "tachovorleiung". The Speedo always shows more than you actually are driving.

@oxdudepoege it's a S5 its limited by 280 the A5 is limited by 250

It's possible to have the speed limiter (set at 250 km/h or 156 mph) switched off at your local Audi-workshop. Normally this will cost you extra ... so 271 km/h in an Audi S5 ? IT IS POSSIBLE !
