@tjz702 Marciano is my hero so taking my bais aside I would absolutely agree. Louis was awesome and technically brilliant, he never wastes a punch.
-
He could knock somebody out with either fist, and that is little scary.
-
I'd say a combo of both. Joe had power, speed, accuracy in his punches, along with an uncanny ability to deliver his punches at the right time.

The Golden Age of Boxing... Began at the Joe Louis era, ended in the Tyson era.
Jack Johnson, Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Sonny Liston, Mas Baer, George Chuvalo, Archie Moore, Joe Walcott, Ezzard Charles, Floyd Patterson, Muhammad Ali, Norton, Shavers, Foreman, Frazier, Tyson, Evander... were the Greatest Heavyweights of all times
-
@MrRoyalFatness Yes I also know that ... But was the Ring's greatest punchers of all time measured by pure punching power or by who was the most effective puncher?
-
You didn't say anything about Foreman. Foreman's style of punching is the exact opposite of Joe's style of punching. They both eliminate their opponents in grand fashion, though.
-
@MrRoyalFatness Yes, I know but I'm sure Foreman would have hit harder.
-
HE WAS 20YEARS OLD HERE?

Are you kidding me? Look up who's #1 on Ring Magazine's Greatest Punchers of All Time. Hint: It's not Marciano.

I find it strange that his reach was 76.5" considering that his arm length was 36.5"-which is very long. If you account for both of his arms, then that already makes up a 73" reach and it is absurd to think that his chest would then span only 3.5" to make up for the rest of the reach measurement.
