It's a dangerous sport but things worked like they were supposed to and saved Mr. Judd from serious injury or worse.

And although the car looked like a Studebaker and the announcer called it one it's doubtful that there were any South Bend parts in it!

i was at the sprint cars at perth motorplex and on the big screen it showed the race of his crash. bit leter on like falcon said a wrecord was made

Great vid... Robin is an amazing bloke. Many would have given up after an experience like this. To Robin's credit, and determination he kept on going and yesterday (Nov 15th 2008), at the Kwinana Motorplex, Perth, Western Australia, Robin re-wrote the record books for Top Doorslammer... 5.86 seconds. He followed it up with a 5.91 which made the run an official world record.
