It is the only instance that I know of Johnny Griffin recording with an organ player, and it's great! Like when Paul Gonslaves did it on his Cleopatra Gone Jazzy record, with Dick Hyman on organ.
WOW. I can see my Father sitting in his chair with his headphones on- listening to this album. He always powered up the volume on his Mac system when this track came on- and we as kids- could hear it through his headphones. and that organ break- - -AMAZING sensitive and sensual!! i am 7 years old when i hear this!
one of my favorite Griff records: simple, bluesy numbers with a breezy, late-night club sound and feel from start to finish since in reality the session was probably recorded on a single day.
