i don't think we have lost touch, we have gained a way to communicate more easily. More immediately. For instance, I can comment on this video, where 15 years ago the video nor my ability to comment on it would not have existed. Already over 1000 people have seen your message, and are reacting both consciously and subconsciously, and the nostalgia of a handwritten letter will always hold its weight in value and importance to both the author, and the recipient. Nice observation, thank you.

Bah! It is not the medium of communication that is diminishing the quality of our interactions. As the communication becomes less asynchronous we spend less time thinking about what we say to each other.
This video is taking a cheap shot at our romantic sides. You put a soft focus on screens or people and of course it will feel like dystopia filled with anomie. It is not a real investigation into the quality of our connections with each other: an investigation that it worth having.

Yes I'm there with you. At the end of the day it is simply up to the individual to choose how the use the medium to communicate. This video shows a very narrow view of the argument. I just happen to believe that the modern medium *has* taken something away from written correspondance.
