Mortal Kombat 2 On SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) Part 1

NOTHING, NOTHING CAN PREPARE YOU!

Background Story Of The Game:

500 Years ago, the shapeshifter Shang Tsung was banished from the Outworld to the Mother Realm (Earth) for his crimes. There, with the help of his pupil Goro, a hideous half-human dragon, he was to atone for his crimes by unbalancing the furies of the realm, allowing his master Shao Khan and his evil minions to enter the domination and rule forever. He was defeated. He returned to the Outworld a failure, facing execution at the hands of Shao Khan, supreme ruler of the Outworld, the astral planes of Shokan and the surounding kingdoms. With the apparent death of Goro, his fate seemed sealed. But Tsung told Khan of his plan for revenge, a plot so evil and twisted that even Khan was persuaded to grant him one final opportunity to redeem himself. He cleverly lured his adversaries to the bizzarre Outworld where they would face a new challenge - a tournament hosted by Shao Khan himself.

Today, the tournament begins...Again!

I decided to play through the game on very hard mode with only 1 continue and I chose to play it through to the end with my favourite fighter being ''Scorpion''. This playthrough was completely honest and fair as I didn't use any cheats what so ever and still found the game very easy. I tryed to fit as many fights in this video as possible.

I will however put the cheats up for those that don't know what the cheats are:

Remember that these cheats are only for the 16-bit Mega Drive (Genesis) version. They will not work on Super Nintendo or the Arcade originals.

TEST MODES: At the options menu, put the cursor on ''DONE!'' and press LEFT, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, DOWN, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT. A new menu called ''TEST MODES'' will appear. The new menu options allow you to make either player invincible, put either character in ''DANGER MODE'' choose any background, set free play, make the computer do fatalities and more.

FERGALITY: At the test modes menu, set the background to 6 and turn on the ''Oooh Nasty!'' option. Play the game as Rayden, and when it's time to do a fatality on your opponent, press AWAY, AWAY, AWAY, BLOCK. That weird character is Fergus McGovern of Probe Software, developer of the SEGA Mega Drive (Genesis) version of Mortal Kombat II.

SCORPION FATALITIES:

TOASTY: (Stand in sweep distance) and press BLOCK, UP, UP, HIGH PUNCH.

SLASHER: Hold HIGH PUNCH and walk up to your opponent and press DOWN, FORWARD, FORWARD, FORWARD, and then release HIGH PUNCH.

Hi everyone. There is the biggest mystery ever for this game. I had Sega Megadrive with a 3-button control pad. To this day, nobody seems to know Kung Lao's Hat decapitation fatality (where he throws his hat and decapitates). On 6-button, it's hold LP, Back, Back, Forward release LP. But does ANYONE have a clue how you did it with a 3-button controller??? ??? ???
