@mako7828, I don't agree with the war in Iraq and never did. The United States needed to go after Bin Laden because of his responsibility of 9/11. I think Bush is guilty of crimes against humanity. With Saddam gone, I wonder how long it will be until Iran starts a war? The problem now is that the U.S. doesn't have the money to send all over the world. We're broke. And in what shape did we leave Iraq? It haunts many of us.

The new testament doesn't cancel out the old testament nor vice a versa. You belief that it does speaks tells me that you have very little understanding of biblical scripture as a whole.

@Ryooken Jesus didn't give us a new covenant that would be an abolishioning of the old law. You are trying to argue grace vs the law. I am sorry but grace doesn't cancel out the law. It simply keeps you from being punished for original sin and allows you access through the kingdom of heave through the blood and your works upon this earth. Like I said before don't try to play this game with me. Being Catholic I know the history of Christianity quite well and I understand prophetic law.

Anytime the Bible is misused it is usually misused in the Old Testament. The verse Wright used in the Psalms has nothing to do with America, it only has to do with the Jewish people. Jesus fulfilled the law indeed, but he gave us a new covenant with all people because the law was not for them but Jews only. Just look at prosperity preachers, they only use the old testament. Jesus never promised Christians prosperity or money or even safety. Old Testament not for us friend.

@Nothergods I didn't say you stuck up for slavery. I said you excused it. There is a difference. The point is Black theology did misrepresent the bible. Talk about twisting of the bible. If you remember Jesus said himself he didn't come to abolish the law but to fullfill it. The old testament isn't strictly for the Hebrew people, it is for everyone that believes in God. If the old testament was just for the Jews then why aren't we only using the new testament?
