I went to check out the Occupy L.A. rally while I was depressed after 2 weeks of job hunting (laid off teacher & univ staff).

This movement is anti-capitalist. Hard work earns possessions. The people who finance entrepreneurs are not the cause of any of societies' problems nor are they the cause of any financial distress. It is unfortunate that this movement perpetuates hatred for the financial services companies who are providing a service just as specialized as any professional practice. The outrage is unfounded, misguided, and completely counterproductive. My generation of millenials doesn't understand finance.

Very good point about how wages have decreased over the past 30 years. And this while American worker productivity has increased significantly. Where is the money? In the top tiers of society!

To some extent we have reached a peak and we can never go back to the 1950's and 60's - resources have been depleted/destroyed, there are ever more mouths to feed, and economic structures have been cemented in place.

Is it too much to ask for a more fair distribution of wealth?
