After entering the U.S. market with an inexpensive (some might say cheap) subcompact car more than 20 years ago, Hyundai has continued a climb upscale. Now the brand is taking its most ambitious step in that direction ever with the introduction of the Hyundai Genesis, a luxury sedan with the amenities of vehicles costing thousands of dollars more. Though intended to compete against the likes of the Chrysler 300C, Lexus ES350 and the Pontiac G8, the new Genesis actually channels attributes of even more expensive models, like the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Powered by either advanced V6 or V8 engines, the rear-drive Genesis is filled with upscale items like adaptive front lighting, proximity key with push-button start and a truly amazing Lexicon 7.1 surround-sound audio system. Kelley Blue Book's Jack Nerad speaks with Hyundai's John Krafcik regarding this exciting new car.

  • I think ford should learn from hyundai

  • Excellent. Hyundai has definitely hit the nail with this one. I've test drove one and I could not believe how BALANCED this car was. I had the V6 model and in my opinion it is, honestly, better than my Lexus GS. I do admit that I'm in the second category of buyers who had a luxury brand before but didnt quite get the satisfaction that I wanted. I've already put in an order for my 3.8 Genesis with Premium Package. Can't wait to get mine.

  • With you talent it is just a matter of time...

  • i doubt if bmw owners know that franz popp started the company by building aircraft engines, thus the white propeller against the blue sky for the bmw logo. after the nazis got the shit beat oout of them, bmw and others could no longer build war weapons and therefore, popp converted to cars right there in hitler's bavaria.of course, they won't tell You how unreliable those german cars are and how they still use that moslem turkye, bosnia labor force. i remember when honda was crap until 1978!

  • @yazan28193 yes it does all that, listen at 3:46 the man mentioned "push-button start" and "proximity keys"

  • @aliasluke2 Wow, how much is your therapy bill? You have to take a major chill pill or you'll have a stroke. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But in these forums, opinions need to be backed up by research and experience. Have you ever driven a Genesis? If you have, then I respectfully disagree with you. If you haven't, get off your computer and go test drive one so we can have meaningful dialogue. Juvenile...

  • I've owned the Genesis for 1 montha. I've ridden in BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, Infinitis, Acuras, VWs, and Volvos. Admittedly the European cars have stiffer handling & more sporty performance feel so if you're looking for this, the Genesis is not for you. But for you critics who think the Genesis is not as smooth as Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura-you are delusional. Smoothness of ride & quietness of cabin are on par with the Japanese competitors. I dare you to take a blindfolded ride to prove my point

  • thanks for the video but i need to ask question.

can u open this car using ur fingerprint and start it without having keys.

    plz answer me

    thanks alot(^_^)

  • @bb6s1 why are you looking at the car and why are you complaining if you dont like then why dont you go get your beemer that looks like crap

  • @aliasluke2 BTW, Do you even know what M means in a BMW model name??

M for MODIFIED!, that is a V8 Engine with 4.0 liters of displacement, and a lot of MODIFICATIONS on the intake, engine block and exhaust system to generate that output.

I really recommend you learn more about cars before saying something about them.

  • @aliasluke2 FYI, Moron!! ***Lexus GS 460 2010: 342-hp V8*** 43 HP less than the Genesis 4.6 liters V8, and over 10 grants more expensive.....That is a real FAIL!!

WHAT IS THE FUCKING GARBAGE NOW??? Read more and get instructed before sending out something from the shithole you have as brain.

  • IF IM TO SPEND 25,000 DLLRS ON A CAR MAN IM JUST SURE ENOUGH ITS NOT A FUCKING HYUNDAI IVE RATHER GET A BEEMER THE 2003 M3 IS THE SAME PRICE
