I've always considered myself to be moderately strong, fit and healthy. I've been into weight-lifting for years; I've competed in many long-distance races, including one marathon at the young age of 16; and I've obtained the rank of Black Belt in Korean martial arts. However, it wasn't until November of 2007--the month I was introduced to the competitors of Japan's famous Sasuke "Ninja Warrior" Competition--that I realized what it really meant to be strong. Powerful men and heros such as Makoto Nagano, Mr. Ninja Warrior, and Shunsuke Nagasaki acted as the catalyst to spark my desire to compete in Ninja Warrior, and so I immediately began my training.

As I mention in the video, my goal is to compete in the SPRING, 2009 Ninja Warrior Competition (in March of 2009), and I've trained hard for it. Of course, I'll continue my training, always progressing in strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility, and I'll do my best to create small videos such as this one to chart my progression.

By the time I submit my G4 American Ninja Warrior Challenge Video (right around December, 2008 / January, 2009), I hope you'll all watch and vote for me. With your votes and with your support, I'll have the opportunity to travel to Japan and represent the American People in Sasuke's 22nd Season. However, I have no intention of simply going and competing and having a good time. I'm going to win! I'm going to become the first true American Ninja Warrior, by conquering all four stages and ascending to the summit of Mount Midoriyama!

Please continue to watch my videos. As time goes on, the videos will become more and more impressive. I promise you that.

Thanks for watching and for your support. If you leave a comment, please leave one of support and encouragement. Nobody likes receiving comments intended to ridicule and tear down one's dreams.

  • Did you make it in to the Ninja Warrior contest?

  • Unfortunately, I wasn't the winner of the G4 American Ninja Challenge, so no, I didn't get to go to Japan last month.

But that's okay. I've decided to continue my training, and I'll try again this Fall in September.

  • i am a rockclimber so i know the kind of crazy uper body strength you need for these moves ..i just want to know how do you deal with the skin on your hands on long rope climbs or and climbing for that mater? do you use chalk? or somink els? or just tuf it out

  • For a very long time, I just toughed it out. (Now I have some killer calluses). However, whenever I go climbing ropes, I now always use chalk. It helps a ton!

  • wow! looks extremely tiresome both physically and mentally. I have just one question. Is all that pressure on your joints good for you?

  • I haven't had any problems yet with my joints. I imagine your joints and tendons are just like any other part of your body: The more you exercise it, the stronger it gets.

  • Serious balls this guy.

  • Have you tried out for ninja warrior before?

  • matrix?

  • "moderately strong" yah right That's like Super Sayian mode right here! Dude that's so crazy all the way that high like damn.

  • Very impressive stuff man.

Just an observation though (as a martial arts practitioner myself), your Kata's (set forms) looked quite made up and/or invented on the spot. I'm not as familiar with the Korean forms as I could be, but yours looked like they were for show.

There's nothing wrong with that if you're just going for a demonstration though.

Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong.

  • you should join MMA aha

  • haey your cheating....it says in my ninja guidebook that people who are chuck norriss or even related to him at all cant brag or join ninja competitions, duh

  • lol this song is not only from half life opposing force but also from the matrix

  • how could you not get chosen to go on the show!!! thats amazing!!

  • ok the first stuff was awesome crazy shit, but the karate crap made you kinda gay looking
