'The Hughes Helicopters OH-6A Cayuse (nicknamed Loach) is a single-engine light helicopter with a four-bladed main rotor used for personnel transport, escort and attack missions, and observation. The MH-6 and AH-6 (nicknamed Little Bird) were originally modified OH-6As used for special operations aviation, they have since been developed into single-engine light helicopters with a single five-bladed main rotor, based on the MD 500E. The newest version, the MH-6M, is based on the MD 530F and has a single, six-bladed main rotor and four-bladed tail rotor. Hughes also developed the Model 369 as a civilian helicopter, the Hughes Model 500, currently produced by MD Helicopters...'

  • They're meant for different missions. The Hind is a large attack transport helicopter, while the Cayuse is a light helicopter. That's like comparing a tank to an infantryman. They perform different jobs.

  • I'm not trying to be patriotic cause I'm British, but we do take U.S. designs and ussually make them much better, especially with things such as Rolls Royce Engines.

  • no.5??? buahahaha

  • @USSOCOMpower Actually, no helicopter can go up against any other helicopter. Helicopters by design are never for air-to-air combat. Kamov Black Shark/Alligators are not very effective in air threats, but they are quite effective against light armors - but the Russian 9K121 Vikhr missile is largely untested and, even to Russian standard, behind that of any modern guided ATM. Rumour suggests that new missiles is under way but so far there is no info available.

  • that look alot like md 530

  • @futurejarhead0311, the AH-64 Apache isn't meant to go up against other aircraft. It's an close air support and anti armor helicopter, not anti aircraft. Russians are stupid for creating an helicopter to go up against other aircraft. American fighters and bombers would destroy enemy aircraft and airfields than AH-64's would get call in to destroy armor such as tanks.

  • i didn't knew that McDonalds is making helicopters

  • @Mouiki like the p-51 first i had an american enigne and then the king of al engines the rolls royce merlin

  • @Chucoishighoncoke

Well the MI-28 was designed to counter-act the AH64 and to be used in a CAS and armor support role. It physically looks a little bit similar but they are 2 almost totally different choppers

  • @Chucoishighoncoke Cant speak for the voice of our forefathers then, must of had their reasons. Ended up as friendlies in the end and thats what matters.

  • @futurejarhead0311 not to also mention some of our designs were taken and put under thier name(ex:AH-64 Apache=Mi-28)
