"Please Don't Keep Me Waiting" 1978. First track on Olivia Newton-John's album "Totally Hot," her first album after her spotlight role in "Grease." This song was not released as a single (although I wish it had been -- perhaps an edited "single" version since the song is nearly six minutes long). During her '78 - '79 "Totally Hot" tour, she sang this song live. In the live version (audio only can be found on the web), she doesn't hold those long, high notes at the end of the song; rather, she uses her voice to match note-for-note each ear-bending riff the electric guitar player comes up with -- sort of like, he plays and she copies. IMO, the vocal gymnastics she displays live are even more difficult than the ones she did in the safety of the recording studio.
I love this song. I hope you enjoy my tribute to it and to the lovely lady who sang it 33 years ago.

Outstanding Performance, Emmett! That's a very daring thing to do to touch that song by Olivia, but you nailed it! Happy Thanksgiving! Wayne
