Well you can, but in some areas the game will run a little slower, and the fps will drop; thats y they recommend 4 gigs. Like in between loading levels the game will tend to crash which does suck. but if you havent tried it, you can run this game with everything on including HD models with only 2 gigs of RAM

This was recorded in 1280 x 720 (HD), and with anti aliasing and A.F. turned On.
The first one is a lower resolution @ 640 x 480 : )
