The January 2012 Trip of the Snowflake Adventure is recorded on the Nevada section at the AMTRAK station in Reno, near Marshal Arts Studios, and in Verdi. We see first Train 5 entering Reno, then Train 6 Leaving two days later, all with the private coach "Virginia City" in tow. In view of the Dec. - Jan. weather, I guess you could call this a dry run.
Woooow ;))). Now I'm so happy because I can to see it ;))) Thank You and greetings from my cat... My cat composed this music ;)))

I went out to film No. 6 but after seeing the VC was the only car on the January edition of the Snowflake, I decided to cut my chase short at Emigrant Gap. Gas has ot be budgeted these days. Good to see you;re back out in the field.

one more comment, I LOVE that camera work on the train's descent into the trench. I see you are by the famous water pumping station, the most insanely interesting part of the trench, lol. And I love that slanted angle at the end, reminds me of an Orson Welles film, like Lady from Shanghai with the final scene at now defunct Funland in San Francisco.

Cuzco? Thanks, Nard-dog, for doing a great job editing together several scenes into a nice story. Now isn't there another snowflake this weekend, the MLK weekend is their traditional run date.

Amazing shots of the Virginia City car!
On your westbound shots I see engine 114 leading. I have shot video of that engine many times over the years on the Coast Starlight.
