The singer was superb (of course) but it's sad that people attribute the song to Sinatra instead of Tchaikovsky.

Wow, I don't understand these negative comments. Yes, Tchaikovsky wrote the 6th symphony (the intro) and the original music for this song (which is in German: Nur Wer Die Sehnsucht Kennt)... Does that mean we should listen to Tchaikovsky play it...? I don't get it... everyone makes "covers" of classical artists... because they're dead. Also, Tchaikovsky only wrote the music. Goethe wrote the text. Where's Goethe's homage? Just listen to the music for Christ's sake.
