You don't have to buy the Public Option. It should be an Option available to anyone who WANTS IT. I like having different options to choose from. It makes the marketplace more competitive and forces companies to compete.

Obama needs to stop playing nice and compromising. His attitude to the Republicans should be "give them nothing, but take from them...everything!"

Don't people UNDERSTAND that 34% of your existing private premium is pure markup??? That means profit, people! To line the pockets of the investors and the executive. It will never come back to you! You pay $6000 a year to Blue Cross, the policy *could* be $4000 a year. The $2000 is gravy ! Another $500-$1000 is to pay for emergency room care for the uninsured. Now we're at $3500. A public option could reach $2500-$3000 a year - with no refusal of care. Private = FAIL (and they know it)

I am tired of the leadership in the house and senate pretending that they "HAVE" to compromise. The most expensive bill I have seen just costs 94 billion a yr. averaged out. Dropping the f-22 would help pay for it for a start. Cutting back on military spending could cover the rest but just in the right to work states.

This arguement about he needs to focus on the economy is stupid. The CBO said that the public option will save 100billion. Healthcare costs are sucking our economy dry. They make businesses less profitable and people less able to buy.

Why didn't Dennis Kucinich get the Democratic nomination for President in 2208? Obama is okay, but Kucinich is an intellegent gentleman who does not bow to corporatism. Grayson also takes on the problems in DC, head on.

Because he's too liberal, he'd never stand a chance, unfortunately. This is a guy who wants to decriminalize marijuanna, lower the drinking age, and for gay marriage. He'd never stand a chance in this country

picture dennis being black; you think he'd be taken as seriously or would he be labled as an "angry black man".

Obama got elected on appealing to *everyone* by being non-threatening. That said, I wish he'd drop the act now n start steamrolling legislation down conservative throats now that he's elected. =\
