Dave just doesn't get it. It's not about paying teachers $190,000 a year. It's not about raising taxes in this economy to stratospheric proportions. It's about the educational CONTENT that is forced upon each student that has to have a wrecking ball taken to it.
For those wondering about the 89k salary comment, this may be the source of that info. Granted it's from someone at Fox News... alright, not letting me link it. Politifact article from Feb 23rd of 2011. 2 days prior to this interview. It includes possible benefits in the number.
Rand commented on the 15 trillion a year national debt and how Wisconsin teachers earn 89k a year and Dave says they should be making twice that. Does the irrationality of this need to be explained?
Dave wasn't debating Rand, he was just making his "rich, fatcats talking points". Rand did tear Dave a new one which is why Dave was flummuxed at the end of the interview. Also, the snide remark by Dave after Rand left was an acknowledgement of defeat.
Rand Paul is factually wrong on a number of points. The rich do NOT pay most of the taxes. They only pay the most of one kind of tax, the federal income tax. And even though it might seem unfair that the richest 1% pay a third of the tax, it isn't really unfair when you consider they make a third of all the money. And the average income for a Wisconsin teacher is not 89k, it's 58k. That's still pretty good, but Rand is still mistaken.
Abolish the Fed, Abolish the IRS, Incorporate the Fair Tax, demand this from your representatives loud and clear and do it NOW!
Boycott the Corporate Owned Main Stream Media and their Advertisers, once we know the whole truth we can take action as informed and concerned citizens.
Do these and we will get the changes we want, we will get back the control we are guaranteed by the Constitution. Do nothing and you are guaranteed nothing!
Teachers making 89K have been working for 20 years or more! Get a clue!
