@Wandy0122 I use a food processor to make a lot of mofongo fast. It would take me all day to make it in a pilon.

What makes Puerto Rican food different from Cuban, Spanish and Mexican food is an "interesting" question. I wonder what a Korean woman would say if you asked her what makes Korean food different from Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese food...
there is something special about the pilon, there is no way a puertorican would make a mofongo in a bowl, its like a crime not to use the pilon!!
