I totally agree about references! The more ways you can study: life drawing, skeletons, anatomy books, etc. They all help improve the quality and level of believability.

No, I started about a year ago and this is my first full firgure. I have only done about six pieces so far. They appear to be getting alittle better each time.....lol. I have gone back and tried to watch all of your videos. They have been a great help.

@11oldgoat Get two books and read them.. they are the ones that got me started in the 60s.. You can get them on Amazon..
Naked Came I by David Weiss, and
The Agony and the Extacy by Irving Stone..
I read these in High School and both inspired me to sculpt. Naked is about Rodin.. the Agony is about Michealangelo... Amazing books, both well written.
