President Barack Obama, in a rare discussion about his religious beliefs, described himself on Tuesday, September 28th, 2010 as a "Christian by choice" who arrived at his faith in adulthood because "the precepts of Jesus Christ" helped him envision the kind of life he wanted to lead.
Obama talked about his beliefs when he was asked, "Why are you a Christian."question was posed by a woman at a backyard conversation in ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., part of a series of meetings Obama is holding to talk informally with Americans.

Christians are suppose to walk in Love and not Judge. We are suppose to walk in love. We are suppose to pray for our leaders. He has not killed babies but saved lives. I am a nurse. I do not believe in abortion but I know if we did not have the laws we have women would be butchered in back alley clinics. Let God Judge those who abort their babies. @amaysongbird The bible dos not say that at all. Jesus spoke of many false teachers who would be wolves (of the devil) in sheep's clothing (walking talking, looking like Christians). You haven't read you bible, obviously
