any thing he found would have been thrown out as poisined fruit i agree sign it but the excssive use of force was uncalled for in this case the uhp should have explained to him that it was not a admission of guilt and asked him to sing again if he refused sir you are under arrest step out of the car and put your hands behind your back then
-
BTW you can tase me for 40,000 any time but i don't think the tax payers should have to pay it
-
the officer should have the right to control the situation as he sees fit so that everyone goes home safely including the other drivers on the road which they were speeding down. or the road crews that are out there working on the side of the roads bottom line massey should have not been speeding (i speed to so don't come back at me with that dumb remark) and he should have done as he was told would have been a lot better for every one
-
i still defend the cop massey should have just done as he was told when he refused to sign the ticket also i have been tased it isn't that bad. It will get your attention thought. that is why the law enforcement use it also try to remember people this is not down town salt lake city or prove this is out in the middle of no were Utah which means say massy and his lady friend or wife were bad people (not saying they are) back up is 30min to 90 mins away

@bigsxy0255 They had to pay the 40K because the cop used improper procedure to remove the barbs of the taser. He didn't wear gloves and didn't take a necessary precaution.
I looked into it because I didn't see the cop do anything really wrong either. What I found was that the cop was found to have acted within his rights, the taser use was found to be justified because of Massey's actions & refusal to cooperate, & Massey did pay the ticket. The cop ignored procedure in removing the barbs, tho

@fr8pl8 I think you are confused. he was clearly trying to leave. there is no question of that at all.
-
well after watching all of the videos and this sec vid three times i don't think the cop did anything wrong more over i don't think the state should have paid him any of my tax money i'm not a cop and i'm very large person who deals with small man syndrome all the time and the while i have seen cops who do have that this cop shows no sings of that this guy just didn't want a ticket and thought if he threw a fit he would get out of it i think every one loses on this one cuz we paid this guy

RULE #1 never talk to the cops they will twist it in all ways and will never help your cause. YT flex your rights! you have a right to travel under the constitution and any law written that tries to infringe upon your inalienable RIGHTS is unconstitutional and is not valid in court and will be dropped if you know your rights that is..
-
That driver was a fucking loser. Unless you have a couple ak47's to kill the pussy and a helicopter ready to go than you have to follow every instruction. Everybody knows that.
-
I don't know if it's a law or not, never said it was. But, the driver's behavior was juvenile (to put it mildly). He was behaving like my 3 year old son on a bad day. The officer was simply doing his job. Any responsible, mature driver who has taken a drivers test and gone through driving school knows you don't argue your case about a speeding ticket with a cop, you do that with a judge in traffic court. The driver clearly escalated the situation.
-
BULLSH*T! stupit @ss pig. W/o our tax money the pig would not have a job.
-
Sorry, not true. You only have to be read your rights before questioning. You can look up this information yourself vs. sounding silly or believing Law & Order...
-
Cop may have over-reacted and could have handled this better, but it is definitely the driver's fault. Just sign the stupid ticket. It's not an admission of guilt, just that you received it. Driver was being stupid. Argue your case about the ticket in court, not with the cop. Don't you know anything?
-
And if not, you will be tasered!
-
That's what I was trying to say. We give up our rights left and right because we don't know what they are. The Miranda rights, which were not given, don't mean a thing in this case. You can be arrested, without the Miranda rights, and held for 48 hours without being charged with anything. Welcome to reality akny007 andd I hope that it'll never happen to you. But, that's our system. Get the facts before popping off.
-
No, that's not true. Look it up. If you don't like it, write a bill and change it. But, you, a US citizen, ought to know your rights.
-
i dont know where you are making that up (unless you arent in the us) but you have to be read your rights..
-
That's not true. The officer is not obliged to read him his righs in order to put him under arrest. Plus, anyone can be held for up to 48 hrs without being charged.
-
what an idiot - you dont say, "read me my rights..."
if he forgets to tell em - your outta jail in no time.
-
I hope that cock sucking trooper looses his job. Power tripping asshole.
-
It's Some Very Bad Cops Out There
For NO Damn Reason
Small Man Syndrome seems to be this cop's mental illness. We shouldn't allow wanna be men on the force.
