FRÄKMÜNDT- Taking part in the selection for the representative of Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC)

Viele Jahre hat sich die Schweiz souverän am Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) blamiert. Es wird Zeit mit einem richtigen Schweizer Lied anzutreten und der Welt zu zeigen, dass FRÄKMÜNDT Besseres auf Lager haben als ausgelutschte Popliedchen am Laufmeter!
FRÄKMÜNDT stehen für eigenwillige und überraschend neue Interpretationen von Schweizer Sagen, Legenden und Liedern. Unverkrampft und ungestüm entsteht so Schweizer Ur-Volksmusik, wie sie mit dem Musikantenstadl und anderen Beleidigungen des guten Geschmacks rein gar nichts mehr zu tun hat! Manchmal wild und manchmal wehmütig, schön und dann wieder ein bisschen dreckig, traditionell inspiriert und gleichzeitig ungewöhnlich anders klingen die Lieder dieser einzigartigen Formation.

Mit ihrem Lied "D'Draachejongfer" treten FRÄKMÜNDT an, der Welt am Eurovision Song Contest ein richtiges Stück Schweiz zu präsentieren!

Switzerland needs a real Swiss song at the ESC in order to represent the country! Therefore FRÄKMÜNDT applied to be the Swiss representative at the ESC with a brand-new, unreleased and outstanding Swiss Ur-Folk track called "D'Draachejongfer"

The Swiss candidate for the ESC will be selected by the Swiss Radio DRS3 (www.drs3.ch) and SF (Swiss Television / www.sf.tv)

"Fräkmündt was the name of a mysterious mountain in the heart of Switzerland which is connected to uncountable sagas. It was re-named to Pilatus, after a legend, telling that the corpse of Pontius Pilatus who
condemned Jesus was thrown into a lake on the eastern mountainside in order to taim his restless and furious spirit. Also, many sources speak about dragons living in caves inside the mountain, harming, but also helping people around it. The Ur-Folk music project Fräkmündt tries to capture the spirit of these old legends and their manifestations in traditions around mount Pilatus and in other pristine areas around the alemannic parts of Switzerland.
Fräkmündt is doing interpretations of old, forgotten songs but is also creating new ur-alpine music, based on the inspiration from sagas, nature, historical places and traditional ceremonies - but sometimes also from beer, brewed with water from mount Pilatus and enthralled schnaps from the various farms around. In order to transport the atmosphere roaming these ancient landscapes, Fräkmündt sings in local high alemannic dialect."

Das ist eines der besten Lieder das ich seit langem gehört habe, Anna hat einfach eine tolle Stimme und die Melodie ist auch einfach klasse.
