carbon burn off on an isuzu

the new isuzus have a carbon matter trap in the exhaust which gets burnt off once there is a certain amount trapped in there. this is a quick vid showing how warm the exhaust gets in the process.

Damn Baldy!! Thats nasty!! We run SCR in the volvo's using that adblue additive, they seem to run at the same temperature, but you can smell the fumes alot more from the adblue....Bring back the old bangers!!

@CATMUSCLE amen to that man. i reckon its a load of shit but gets points with the eco wanks. with that adblue stuff being part urea im wondering about somethingrwb1955 brought up. when we gonna need a dg license to run around bobtail with all the chemical bs going on trucks these days.

@rwb1955 damn hot allright. enough to burn the hairs of your leg if u step too close. think its sort of a wank thing anyway really. after all it is only carbon and 99% of it settles back to earth anyway in a conventional truck.
