Eben Moglen is one of the very few people I've heard say anything truly intelligent, accurate, and very much needed, in a long time. When I tell people about the dangers of social networks, and Facebook in particular they look at me like I'm a conspiracy theorist.. they just don't get it. This is a great video.. Thank you!

I'm sorry, but this last statement is just not true. You should familiarize yourself with the whole concept of free (as in freedom) software. Rather than personal insecurity - it is concerned with the general insecurity of proprietary ownership of digital tools and means of communication. Google "Stallman" and "punkcast" for some explanatory videos.

The cloud is a con, the corporations and governments want to separate us from our programs and files, so all they have to do is cut off your internet access and we're totally fucked, so we can't even write anything or make any videos. It's optional right now, but once they have enough mugs signed up they'll make it compulsory. It's all about controlling the means of production by removing it from our hands. Don't say you weren't warned.
